In the vineyard

The vine is the beating heart of Domaine des Perchés. Each vine is cared for with meticulous attention, because it is in these rows that everything begins. Between respect for traditions and modern practices, the work in the vineyard reflects the Domaine's commitment to nature and quality.

The estate is a veritable Garden of Eden, where vineyards, orchards, buzzing beehives and olive trees mingle.

In symbiosis with the earth

At Domaine des Perchés, we believe that the vineyard can only flourish in a preserved environment, which gives pride of place to biodiversity. Alongside the rows of vines descending the hillsides, more than 500 olive trees flourish, as well as flowering meadows and a sublime orchard composed of plum, almond, cherry, pear and pomegranate trees. In this Garden of Eden, the estate's bees and other endemic auxiliaries give life to the vines, in a joyful symphony. It is here, in this generous nature, that the vineyard thrives to the rhythm of the 4 seasons. On the hectares of cultivated vines, excellence is shaped, centimeter by centimeter, thanks to a fine understanding of nature.

Certified Organic Agriculture (AB), Domaine des Perchés has adopted a holistic approach to viticulture, promoting methods that respect the land and ecosystems. Upstream, our team draws inspiration from the principles of agroforestry by planting fruit trees and natural hedges of various species. Keen to create a more resilient environment, our "wine artisans" also practice voluntary grassing between the rows of vines. This plant cover not only enriches the soil with organic matter, but also improves its vitality, while playing a key role in regulating humidity, particularly in times of drought.

We are convinced that balance is the key word for quality, Man and nature must relearn to dialogue, to live in harmony.

We believe that everything is intimately linked - the soil, the plants, the stars, Man - in a perpetual movement. At the heart of this vision, biodynamics plays a major role, in harmony with natural cycles and lunar phases, to achieve a better expression of the vineyard. The major preparations and decoctions, these herbal "tisanes" will accompany growth, stimulate microbial life, strengthen root development... All these measures promote a balanced ecosystem, which aims to naturally protect the vine against diseases while ensuring uniform maturity.

This strong commitment is both a tribute to past generations and a promise to future generations, in order to produce wines that respect the ecosystem, imbued with the spirit of the estate.

“Environmentally friendly practices”

The Domaine is committed to sustainable viticulture, favoring environmentally friendly methods.

The goldsmiths of the vine

Fully committed to organic farming and biodynamics, Domaine des Perchés perpetuates an ancient wisdom, that of those who cultivated the vine with common sense, in symbiosis with the moon and the seasons.

The women and men of the estate "whisper in the ear of the vine" and take care of the vineyard with a deep attachment to the land. Behind each great wine lies the passion and commitment of these artisans. In winter, their expert hands are busy with the meticulous pruning of the vines and the fall of the wood. In spring, comes the time for disbudding and lifting, accompanied by rigorous disbudding, to promote the concentration of the berries. The winegrowers of the estate also strive to revive ancient gestures, such as training vines on stakes, a legacy of the Rhone vineyards.

Season after season, this patient and meticulous work reflects their know-how as well as a true complicity with nature. The harvests, carried out by hand, are the culmination of this artisanal approach. A goldsmith's work, which requires meticulous know-how and a sharp eye, in order to select the best berries, to express, ultimately, the unique character of each micro-plot and to produce more authentic and true wines.

On the sun-drenched hillsides, the approach is intended to be both resilient and thoughtful, intentional and experimental. Thus, alongside traditional grape varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the Domaine strives to cultivate old or atypical grape varieties in the region, such as Mancin Noir, Castets, Syrah, Duras and Jurançon Noir. This pantheon of forgotten or atypical grape varieties from the southwest is what makes Domaine des Perchés so original!

And it is there, in the shade of the cellars, that the Great Work of nature is revealed, carried by expert gestures and patient souls...
